Horizontal vs. Vertical

Since horizontal versions have the largest surface area for oxygen absorption, they are often used in bakery technology. Sufficient oxygen combined with optimal temperature conditions are the ideal conditions for a well-rising dough.

MBC SINGLE-SIDED PROFILED PILLOWPLATES

For both our horizontal and vertical

tank designs, we use pillowplate technology

for cooling or heating.
This technology enables cooling or heating

across the entire surface, resulting in highly efficient energy utilization and precise

temperature regulation.
Pillowplates are also highly resistant to high working pressures – inflation occurs at approximately 39 bar.
This allows for rapid exchange of the

temperature control fluids.

This enables very precise and rapid

temperature adjustment, which is

often essential, especially in food processing.

Small heat-affected zone

- We use laser-welded pillow plates -

The low energy input results in a locally limited heat-affected zone

and low thermal distortion. As a result, there is no distortion on the inner wall.

This ensures that the product is evenly stripped off the inner wall of the tank.
